A rising number of companies, such as Suncor, are making wildlife awareness training and practical bear spray training mandatory for staff and contractors working on sites with wildlife habitat.

Suncor Assessed Wildlife Aware
We are an official provider of the Wildlife Aware Level 2 required to work at Suncor. This course has been assessed and is considered an equivalent for staff or contractors working on Suncor sites.

This four hour course is for staff working in close proximity to wildlife habitat areas. It provides them with the knowledge of how to avoid bear and other wildlife encounters, and what to do in an encounter. It provides practical training in the use of bear spray.

Suncor Assessed Bear Spray Training
We are an official provider of Bear Spray Training required to work at Suncor and numerous other oil and gas companies.
This workshop can be customized to your target audience, recreational groups, community organizations and employees working in remote locations. It can also be provided in conjunction with Bear Safety Training or Wildlife Awareness Training.
Program Details
After discussing the various scenarios you may encounter in the wild we will provide you with inert (no pepper) training canisters, to enable you to go through the experience of using the product. It is important that you gain confidence in your ability to use it.

Bear Spray Demonstration
Need to Take a Bear Spray Class Remotely?
For Live on Zoom or MS Teams Bear Spray classes or On-demand, staff observe a bear spray demonstration by the instructor and inert bear spray cans are shipped to your office or worksite for staff to do a bear spray demonstration video. The practical bear spray demonstration video is emailed to us for review and certification.
We can ship inert bear spray training cans anywhere in Canada and the U.S. within 24 to 48 hours. (Some exceptions apply)
Alberta Forest Product Association Wildlife Awareness Training
Bear Safety & More is proud to be working with the Alberta Forest Product Association to provide customized Wildlife Awareness Training for staff working in the Forestry sector.
This ‘NEW’ 4-hour course is intended for anyone who works in close proximity to wildlife habitat areas. Participants will learn how to avoid bear and other wildlife encounters, and what to do should an encounter occur. It also provides practical training in the use of bear spray.
